Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need previous MUN experience to participate?
RCMUN welcomes delegates of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned participants. We provide training materials and support to ensure that all delegates can participate meaningfully. We have categorised our committees into "beginner", "intermediate", and "advanced". We advise that "beginner" delegates are those with little or no experience of MUN conferences, and that "intermediate" delegates have the experience of one or more conference or equivalent experience in debating activities. "Advanced" delegates will have significant experience of several conferences or equivalent, and should provide an overview of this in their initial registrations.
What is the dress code?
All delegates are required to dress in formal business attire (Western business attire or appropriate formal national dress) during all sessions. Sportswear, sandals etc. should not be worn.
What language will be used during the conference?
English is the official language of RCMUN. All debates, position papers, and resolutions must be in English.
